About

Tina Russo Lancey first came to yoga in Connecticut, (USA.) While working as a writer at the time, she knew after her first yoga class, yoga would be a huge part of her life. In 2007, after relocating to North Carolina, she enrolled in her first teaching certification program graduating from The Bodhi Tree.

Initially, Tina taught yoga in and around the Charlotte, NC area, including corporate yoga for Wachovia Bank. 2010 brought another move, this time to SC where Tina earned a Certificate in Applied Science – Professional Writing, in Charleston, SC.

In 2017, Tina left SC and moved to Illinois. Not only was she shocked by the amount of corn one state grows, she realized there was a lack of a yoga studio in the area. She rented a small pop-up space by the evening, and started offering classes.

After several more certifications in yoga, the yoga studio grew and occupied its own space. Sadly, the space was closed due to Coronavirus. While locked down during corona, the idea for Christian Yoga Magazine was impressed on her. Though she misses teaching yoga, she is excited to continue to write content for the yoga field, while publishing Christian Yoga Magazine.

Tina has been published in Fibromyalgia Today, Atlanta Petz, Carolina Bark, and Just Labs Magazine, to name a few. She served as the Editor-In-Chief of My Petz Magazine (Charlotte) from 2008 through 2010.

Tina continues to live in the Midwest with her two children, and a zoo of pets. When she is not writing about yoga and wellness, or chasing children, she is working on her historical fiction novel. She also enjoy watching hockey (especially the Boston Bruins,) or the Mets!
